I am really sorry you have not been truly happy in your life. All of us pet pawrents know the secret to happiness is to wake up with a four-legged friend pressuring you for food at 3 am.

Yes, I know it doesn't exactly sound like a dream come true, having to wake up at that unthinkable hour to serve some dry food, but it's what comes afterwards that does the trick. When their bellies are full, and they are ready to go back to sleep, there's nothing that will ever surpass the feeling of getting back in bed to snuggle with a sleepy cat that starts to purr at the feeling of pure relaxation. To all the office managers of the world, here's the reason we were late to the office this morning. When the alarm clock actually went off, our little puppy was too comfortable to make them move or get up; so we simply had to continue the snuggling session.

Some days I decide I’m just not going to budge. On weekends, I tell myself I’ll be the real master of the house by not allowing my cats to get their way by waking me up at whatever time they decide is feeding time. So I fill their plates the night before so they won’t be so hungry in the morning, and I get ready to have some willpower. Then, the time finally came. Morning. Everything seemed to be working as my house was still quiet by 6 am. Little did I know the furry creatures were in cahoots. They probably noticed my intentions and decided to take their skills up a notch. Cat number one got really close to my face, without making a single sound. Putting to use his true hunter ancestry. Cat number two did the same thing but close to my feet. Both of them were quiet as ghosts. That’s when the attack began. Cat number one started screaming in my face, almost giving me a heart attack, while cat number two bit my toes, making me get on my feet in less than 2 seconds. They are tru master minds.
Mind you, they didn’t even want any food because they hadn’t finished their plates. I think they just wanted to have the satisfaction of beating me at my own game. I must admit, I was outnumbered and outsmarted. That said, the three of us crawled back to bed after this little morning battle and snuggled like birds in a nest. Needless to say, all was forgiven, and some treats were given later that day.
